The godly care for their animals, but the wicked are always cruel.

Fixing Montgomery County

For the 10 year anniversary of Texas Doghouse, we decided to do something to give back to the community that has given so much to us. We started talking about all of the different rescue groups in our area that could benefit from a donation of this kind. Ultimately, we decided on Fixing Montgomery County run by the locally based Lone Star Animal Welfare League. Fixing Montgomery County offers low or no cost spay/neuter and wellness services for low income pet parents. Every pet that is “fixed” in their program receives up to date vaccinations and a microchip. The homeless pet population would decrease dramatically if more people could spay and neuter their pets.

In an effort to support Fixing Montgomery County, Texas Doghouse will be price matching donations up to $10,000. With $20,000 in donations, they will be able to spay/neuter almost 300 animals!

One female dog can have up to three litters a year with potentially seven puppies per litter, meaning that dog and her offspring can have over 67,000 puppies in a six-year time frame! The number of litters is even more with cats! If just 150 of the dogs who get fixed are females, we can potentially reduce the pup population by 10 million dogs, resulting in less dogs having to be euthanized in the shelters. The opportunity to support Fixing Montgomery County excites us and we’re so thankful to be able to help  We hope that you will join us in supporting this cause that is very near and dear to our hearts.

Toys For Tots

David dresses up as Santa Paws every December and we do free photos with the pups if they bring a toy or cash donation for Toys for Tots. 100% of the cash donations are used to purchase toys for needing children and teens in our community. Texas Doghouse has consistently won awards for collecting the most toys in the area.

Volunteering with Rescue/Fostering

Texas Doghouse has been fostering dogs since the very beginning. Hundreds of foster dogs have come through our doors over the years and we have helped place them in good, loving homes. Over the years we have donated countless amounts of food, bedding and other supplies to rescue groups and shelters. We have donated thousands over the years to have dogs spayed/neutered, fed, and to help with vet bills.

Texas Doghouse has always and will continue to offer deep discounts to local rescue groups for daycamp and boarding.
